5 Key Relationships That Will Help You Become The Best You
Our relationships directly influence our happiness level. Even the most introverted of us need social interactions to thrive.
Relationships mold our reality, our moods, and our attitudes. So, let us look at five types of key relationships that could steer your life toward reaching the best version of you.
Cheerleader
The cheerleader encourages you to reach your goals and believe in yourself. Cheerleader types are positive people who like to get the best out of someone by empowering them. As one good example, they’re the type that shoots up your confidence by encouraging you to stretch beyond your comfort zone.
Mentor
The mentor-type guides you on how to achieve your goals. You may or may not know this person personally, but you get guidance from their shared knowledge or expertise through courses, books, videos, or even one-on-one mentorships.
You must, however, be careful where you get your information. Research a mentor’s background and listen to reason when choosing whom to follow.
Friend
Your friend is the most important as this person knows your deepest desires, believes in you and offers a shoulder to cry on. They help you pick up the pieces and bolster your self-worth. A friend is the best support you can have.
Coach
The coach takes you out of your comfort zone because they care about your personal growth. You may disagree with this type the most. But remember, this person sees the bigger picture. The coach can help you set things in motion to achieve your success.
Peer
A peer is someone at work or in your industry who relates with you professionally. This person understands your job and is willing to help you further your career. The peer offers advice and puts you in the right mindset for reaching your goals.
Identify the relationships you have in your life that fit these five key types. If you lack some of these relationships, perhaps you may want to start forming those by meeting more people. You can do so by becoming a member of an online club, joining a class, or checking into local groups that align with your interests.
Bear in mind that you play a vital role in someone else’s life as well. You may be someone else’s mentor, peer, friend, coach, or cheerleader too. So don’t forget that you too matter to someone.
