How to Get Things Done

Even When You Don’t Feel Like It

Sometimes life throws us curveballs of laziness, indifference, apathy or plain bad mood. And while taking rest is important, sometimes it’s just not enough. Here’s our short guide on how to get things done even if we don’t feel like it at all.

Don’t Wait to Get In the Mood

Our moods can be fickle. Inspiration doesn’t always strike when we want it to. Problem is - it never arrives when you need it to and you end up procrastinating.

There’s no rule stating you always have to like what you need to do. In fact, the road to goals is littered with tasks you’d rather not face. Excuses like “I can’t get myself to start a reading habit” or “I can’t go to bed early” simply mean you just can’t get yourself to feel like doing these things.

So ignore your lack of enthusiasm and just do it!

Oblige Yourself to Do At Least One Thing: The Most Important One

Prioritize. Out of all your tasks on the list, what’s got to be done today?

Get the best tool to help you prioritize: The Productivity Planner. This handy journal gears you up to plan, make lists, and rank tasks and goals according to importance. One look into a well-laid planner can help you pick out the most important to-do. You can focus on this, on days when you just want to laze around but shouldn’t.

Finish the most important tasks instead of everything and your day will already be marked as productive.

Get Enough Sleep

Sleep is the most underrated and often overlooked element in productivity. Skip a good night’s rest and your motivation to do things start flagging.

Make it a goal to catch much needed ZZZZzzz’s everyday. Educate yourself on sleep hygiene. You need to wake up refreshed, feeling that boost to run productively through your day.
