5 Daily Habits for a Productive Day

Woke up late, rushed to shower, skipped breakfast-- we’ve all been there, we’ve done that. It’s too early but we feel like we have exhausted all our energy. It happens a lot when tasks take control of us. The hours just fly as we try to stay on top of things.

We need to change this and reclaim our days.

Do these 5 habits to increase your productivity levels, achieve your goals for the day and feel good, all before lunch.

Plan out your day the night before

Use a planner and jot down tasks that need to be done so you can spend less time planning and more time doing in the morning.

This makes sure you know your calendar or appointments for the next day so you won’t miss any. It helps alleviate anxiety and uncertainty about tomorrow’s workload.

Then, prepare and set aside all the things you need to grab in the morning like your bag, files, folder, etc. Make sure that whatever you need is prepared the night before.

Setting goals helps you live longer, according to research.

Wake up early

Don’t hit snooze!

Waking up late makes the day shorter- making it less productive and affecting work actually done. Set up your alarm clock across the room, so you have no choice but to stand up and start your day up on the first ring.

Waking up early makes you feel ahead of everyone else. Early bird catches the worm, it may be true to some millionaires across the world, because these individuals are up at 6:00 or 7am, ready to conquer the world.

Set your priorities

Knowing your priorities reduces stress and helps you focus on the most important. This will let you free your mind and give you clearer objective focus.

Set clearly defined SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-bound) goals. And track your progress. Try putting your goals on paper and review them regularly. It will give you a 95% chance of achieving your desired outcomes

Meditate for a couple minutes

It clears your mind and increases content-ness.

Tame your brain. Take 10-20 minutes every morning to meditate. It’s a good workout for your head to help you deal better with stress and improve your thinking.

Fit in exercise

A little is better than none! You can squeeze a jog or a walk outside, do yoga, or visit the gym. Whatever you choose, get your blood running and body moving.

Get the brain awake and improve decision-making throughout the day. Being physically active positively influences 15-year income says Psychology Today.

Healthy daily habits take time to practice. You need to assess yourself and choose the routines that will work best for you! Find small ways in your daily activities to include some healthy ways of living.

Imagine as the sun rays hit you in the face, you open your eyes. You get out of bed and stretch. You meditate for a while, feed your mind with positive thoughts. Exercise, shower then eat your breakfast. You’ve warmed up, excited and you can't wait to get started. Perfect start to have a productive day ahead!
